Donna & Stephen – Engagement shoot in Camden

It is only a couple of months away until their wedding but we all thought it would be nice till the summer to do a pre wedding photoshoot. They chose Camden in North London as the setting as it holds special memories of many a fun night out and was a local haunt of theirs. We spent a little while having a wander through the markets before settling for the main destination for the evening: The Pub!

I know their wedding is going to be great fun from what they have told me about the day and I’m looking forward to it. Here are a few of my favourites:

Michelle & Steve – Summer Wedding at Tewinbury Farm

Outdoor weddings are still something of a rarity in this country, which is a shame as they are fabulous weddings to shoot. Steve & Michelle had the perfect weather on their wedding day, in the idyllic location of Tewinbury Farm, set amidst the gorgeous Hertfordshire countryside. Tewinbury farm has these lovely converted barns and the one we were in had a beautiful gazebo in the garden, which hosted the wedding ceremony. Michelle put a lot of hard work choosing all the delightful little details that really made this a summer wedding to remember. It was a pleasure to be a part of the day and capture those moments.. Reuben & Jess – Hampstead Heath Shoot

I always love working with couples looking for that something special when it comes to photography as it gives me extra opportunity to be creative and create iconic images. Reuben & Jess are a great couple and I am so looking forward to shooting their wedding in the summer. They wanted photography for their invites, so we did a shoot up on Hampstead Heath and we got some wonderful imagery. Here are a few of my favourites:

Classic Bridal Make-up by Make-up Artist Julia Jeckell

Julia Jeckell is a Make-up Artist who has worked with many Brides creating the perfect look for the Big Day. To create a classic bridal look she recommends:

“Go for a radiant natural look, so that you’ll look like yourself – just a slightly more glamorous version!
Start with a good base – I recommend using a primer first followed by Mac Face & Body foundation for a sheer/dewy look that will last all day, apply this with a foundation brush and finish with a sheer mineral powder to control shine and keep make-up in place.
For a classic bridal look, create soft smokey eyes using light browns, taupes or soft bronzes. To define your eyes use a brown or black pencil or liquid eyeliner on the top lash line and then follow with waterproof mascara (A must for the big day!)
Don’t forget blusher – this will give you a radiant glow and bring the whole look together. I recommend soft pink/peach tones blended well on the cheekbones.
Using a natural lip liner, complete the look with a brown/pink lip gloss or a nude lipstick – make sure you have this to hand throughout the day and always take time out during the day for a retouch!”

Nick & Sarah’s Wedding – Ponsbourne Park Hotel

First wedding of the year and it was a delightful March day. The snow had all melted and we even had sunshine! It was a traditional wedding with the ceremony held at St Mary’s Church in Cheshunt and then on to Ponsbourne Park Hotel in the Hertfordshire countryside. It is a lovely venue, rich with opportunities for iconic photographs.

Mark & Claire’s Winter Wedding – Tewin Bury Farm

It was a lovely December day with perfect sunshine for Mark & Claire’s wedding. Tewin Bury Farm Hotel is a great wedding venue and I enjoy shooting there. The staff are experts in wedding organisation and they always help the day run smoothly. The wedding ceremony & breakfast was held in the Stable, which is a lovely 17th century red brick building with oak beams and a cosy feel. Claire looked radiant on her wedding day and the day went beautifully.

Mark & Gemma’s Wedding – Ponsbourne Park Hotel

It was a beautiful Hertfordshire October day for the wedding of Mark & Gemma. Autumn is a lovely time of year to get married and it certainly looked no better than at the lovely Ponsbourne Park hotel in Hertford. It was a real pleasure to be part of the day. Here are a few of my favourites:

Nick & Paula’s Wedding Photographs – Hanbury Manor

Hanbury Manor is a lovely venue in Ware, Hertfordshire and it wasn’t long ago I was there shooting pre-wedding engagement portraits with Nick & Paula. They were married in the lovely summer house and it was such a treat to photograph their wedding in such a beautiful setting. Despite their best efforts I hate to say that Nick & Paula don’t have a future playing the steel drum music so the musician’s job’s are still safe. Paula walked down the aisle to the lovely harp playing of Ruth Holden and it gave the wedding the perfect ambience. The talented Mitch Hiller along with his soul/jazz band provided the music for the first dance and reception bringing the day to a soulful conclusion. It was hard to choose between them but here are a few of my favourite images from the wedding day.

Chris & Ellie’s Wedding Photographs – Cambridge

Time really flies and it seem only the other day that I was doing the pre wedding photographs with Ellie & Chris. The big day arrived and it was a gorgeous day in Cambridge.
